Rhian’s View
From an early age I have been passionate about fitness and exercise and have worked out as far back as I can remember, I am a very goal driven individual
and I will not end this year without reaching my goals, or at least the first phase of reaching my goals, because, this fitness lifestyle is a never-ending pursuit to always get better. Getting fit, being fit, and becoming healthier every day and promoting this lifestyle is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT things to me and very rarely does anything get in the way of that.
I am currently working at One to One Gym in Trefforest, where I am seeking to progress in all areas of the fitness industry from my own personal training to taking classes, teaching and sharing my knowledge with others in order to achieve their goals and dreams.
Alongside being so passionate in the fitness industry I always strive to better myself in all areas of my life and help others to do the same. For the last two and a half years I have been part of a Christian Sports Organisation team called the Sporting Marvels which placed me full time in the Schools of the Rhondda Valleys. As this is a missionary their aim is to model the Christian lifestyle; healthy living and the importance of character, principle and values. The time spent with the Marvels has been an incredible part of my life and such a great opportunity to be a role model to the youngsters in the Rhondda Valley influencing behaviour for the good and affecting the choices they make and how they arrive at their choices.
Being part of the Sporting Marvels also brought the opportunity for me to go on Missionaries to orphanages in East Africa. Last year I took some time out to stay at an orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania. This experience touched my heart like I never imagine, and I hope to spend a lot more time on missionaries there in the future. As I felt a need to help so much after visiting east Africa, as of this year I will be sponsoring my first orphan to go to school.
